India hoping to perform well in the Tokyo Olympics

India’s best showing in the Olympics came in the year 2012 when the global event was held in London. The last time in 2016, India performed well at the fag end of the event and showed their true potential by sealing a bronze and silver in Wrestling and Badminton respectively.

But the wait for the elusive Gold medal still awaits us and India’s only gold medalist Abhinav Bindra stated, “Never before in our history have we gone into an Olympics starting as absolute favorites.”

All the matches during the Olympics will be played behind closed doors and there won’t be any spectators allowed to watch the match live, due to the COVID-19 threat.
