Preview

Bangladesh have, well and truly, exceeded expectations in their ongoing T20I series against Australia. At home, they were expected to give the Aussies a run for their money. However, not even the optimists would have expected them to take a 3-0 lead in the series with a couple of matches still remaining.

The games haven’t been high-scoring and it’s the Bangladesh bowlers, who have gotten Australia on the mat. In the third game on Friday, August 6, the hosts managed 127 runs on the board after Mahmudullah Riyad’s 52. Thereafter, Mustafizur Rahman’s brilliance took the Tigers over the finishing line.

The third game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 7 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Going into the game, the visitors, led by Matthew Wade, will be looking to salvage some pride. In the meantime, Mahmudullah’s men will be looking to take a step close to a series whitewash.
