Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer has turned into memester on social media over the last 12-18 months. He keeps entertaining the fans and also gives them different tasks to solve riddles while talking about Indian cricket more often. Ahead of the first Test between England and India, Jaffer picked the visitors’ playing XI and this time, he found a new way to put his followers to the task.

Meanwhile, the Indian team’s injury worries doesn’t seem to end on this tour. After Avesh Khan, Washington Sundar and Shubman Gill were ruled out of the series, the opener Mayank Agarwal is now unavailable for the first Test starting from August 4. He suffered concussion after being hit on the helmet by Mohammed Siraj in the nets and is being observed closely by medical team at the moment.

In Agarwal’s absence, Wasim Jaffer has picked KL Rahul as the opener using Shahrukh Khan’s one of the movie’s picture. While selecting Rohit Sharma at the top of the order, he has selected Hrithik Roshan’s debut movie’s picture.

Wasim Jaffer further used the picture of Cavit Çetin Güner, the actor from the Turkish TV Series Erutrul Ghazi, to denote the India skipper Virat Kohli. Güner looks exactly like the 32-year-old in his look in the series and then funnily used the head coach Ravi Shastri’s playing picture to hint that the left-arm spin bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja should play.

Ranveer Singh’s Khilji look in Padmaavat was also part of Jaffer’s tweet as he went with the veteran pace bowler Ishant Sharma in the playing XI. Overall, he picked Ravi Ashwin as well along with two other pacers in Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. Apart from KL Rahul’s inclusion, the XI is same like what India fielded in the World Test Championship Final against New Zealand.

Here’s Wasim Jaffer’s India playing XI for the first Test against England: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (C), Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah.
