The Indian batter Shreyas Iyer had to deal with a major blow as he got his shoulder injured during the home series against England. Owing to this Iyer had to undergo a shoulder injury and thus had to miss a few national and international assignments. What further added to the misery was that the Delhi Capitals skipper couldn’t even be a part of the first phase of the Indian Premier League as he was recovering from the injury.

Shreyas Iyer was also supposed to be a part of the Lancashire side for the England One Day Cup for which he was expected to land in Manchester on July 15. However, he had to be ruled out of it as he continued his recovery. The sigh of relief now is that the batter seems to have recovered from his months-long shoulder injury as he is spotted in action recently. Iyer has posted an Instagram reel that assures one that he is probably in good shape to get back to cricket.

On July 29, Thursday, the Mumbai cricketer took it to Instagram to share a reel of him doing certain drills for a television commercial. The short footage shows him having a fun time while doing some fitness drills and hitting a few balls. He is also seen facing the camera with a jovial smile and signing autographs at the tail end of the reel. He captioned the post as, “Lights, Camera, Laughter #ShootDay.”

Shreyas Iyer was recently spotted practicing football

Shreyas Iyer had posted a few pictures on Tuesday, wherein he was seen practicing football. The series of images also featured Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ranveer Singh among a few others. Iyer had captioned the post, “Ballin with these ballers.” The Indian skipper Virat Kohli commented on it “Count me in next time we’re in town.”

Shreyas Iyer was recently named in the 45-member squad by the Mumbai Cricket Association for a fitness training camp. This thus pins hopes on Iyer getting back on the field for the second phase of the IPL, which will be staged in the UAE and is all set to commence from September 19.
