There is a slight backstory as Anushka was referring to her picture with Virat Kohli from last month, where she rather funnily termed him her fan.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had fun banter on Instagram after the latter asked the actress for a photo credit for her new pictures. A casually dressed Anushka shared a few snaps clicked on a random, picturesque road in Nottingham, on which Virat Kohli cheekily commented, “Who took these pictures?”, only to get a no-less cheeky and witty response from his wife, as she said “A really good fan”.

There is a slight backstory as Anushka was referring to her picture with Virat Kohli from last month, where she rather funnily termed him her fan. “Was just casually prancing around town. Running a hand through my hair. A fan spotted me. I obliged for a picture. He seemed happy. Anything for my fans,” she wrote, as she shared pictures while she was walking through a street.

Family members accompanying the team

Anushka is accompanying Virat on India’s UK tour, where the team is set to play five Tests against England. The duo touched down in Southampton last month alongside all other team members, before undergoing a 10-day quarantine at the in-house facility in Southampton’s cricket stadium. The Indian team locked horns with New Zealand in the World Test Championship final, which concluded on June 23.

Ever since then, the players have been training and enjoying the long gap that they had at their disposal as the England series starts on August 4 in Nottingham’s Trent Bridge. In between, the Indian team played a three-day warm-up fixture against Select County XI at Chester-le-Street, Durham, although the Indian skipper did not participate in the fixture due to a sore back.

The Indian team members shared glimpses of the memorable times they have had so far on the trip, as Anushka recently shared pictures with KL Rahul, Athiya Shetty, and cricketers Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma with their wives, Tanya Wadhwa and Pratima Singh, respectively. She shared the picture with a bit of wordplay in the caption, “Dur’hum’ saath saath hai,” followed by upside-down face and butterfly emojis.

The Indian team plays five Tests at Trent Bridge, Lord’s, Leeds, the Oval, and Old Trafford, which will run until mid-September.
